Intense Pulsed Light with the Venus Versa

Venus Versa is a medical aesthetic device that delivers non-surgical anti-aging treatment using Intense Pulse Light to give you a more youthful appearance with no pain or down time. IPL uses light to heat a deeper layer of your skin to increase collagen production, remove skin pigmentation abnormalities, remove vascular blemishes, and remove hair.

Benefits of IPL Treatments:

  • Improvement in the appearance of:
    • Wrinkles
    • Pore size
    • Textural irregularities
    • Acne scarring
    • Vascular and pigmentation blemishes
    • Aging or sun-damaged skin
  • Hair removal

How long does it last?

As with all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of the IPL treatment are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further aging or sun spots from occurring. The positive results should last you years depending on the area being treated, individual lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, prolonged sun exposure and how each individual cares for their skin after the treatment.

How many treatments are required?

Most people see results after the first procedure. Best results are seen after 3-4 treatments for the skin rejuvenation and 6 treatments for the hair removal. Treatments are spaced 6 weeks apart.

What are the side effects and risks involved?

IPL has been shown to be a safe. Still the majority of people are likely to experience some minor side effects of discomfort during the procedure and mild skin irritation after the procedure that should resolve within a few hours. Pigment changes will be noted after the procedure, hyperpigmentation of spots will occur and should resolve within 7-14 days.

A full aftercare treatment will be provided by the technician and MUST be followed to avoid hyperpigmentation or scarring.

Can anyone get IPL treatments?

As with a majority of cosmetic procedures, IPL should not be used on women who are pregnant or breast feeding. Although some darker skin types are suitable for the procedure, it is not advised for those with very dark skin due to the higher risk of hyperpigmentation (darker spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) following treatment.

Pro Plasma Skin Tightening

Pro Plasma Skin Tightening is relatively new to the beauty industry in North America but has been used for a number of years in Europe. The device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the skin, to form a plasma charge. This plasma charge instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissue retraction and tightening gives instant results you can see and continue to improve over the next 8-12 weeks. This procedure utilizes the plasma to tighten loose skin and decrease the appearance and eliminate wrinkles and stretch marks by creating new skin. The procedure is low risk, natural and has minimal down time. Pro Plasma Skin Tightening is known for the non-surgical eye lift, brow lift, tummy tightening, stretch marks, and so much more.

What areas can be treated with Pro Plasma Skin Tightening

  • Eyelid tightening, including lower eyelids and excess upper eyelid skin
  • Skin imperfections, improvement in the appearance of acne scarring and sun spots
  • Improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, forehead, smile lines
  • Tightening loose stomach skin after pregnancy, weight loss or due to loss in elasticity

  • And many more!

How long does it last?

As with all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of the plasma treatment are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further aging from occurring. The positive results should last you years depending on the area being treated, individual lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, prolonged sun exposure and how each individual cares for their skin after the treatment.

The positive effects of the treatments will be immediately noticeable after the first treatment and best results will be seen after 4 weeks and continuous improvement up to 8-12 weeks.

How many treatments are required?

The number of treatments will vary according to the condition being treated, skin’s laxity, the desired degree of correction and the individual’s response to treatment. Most people see results instantly and this continues to improve over the course of the following 8-12 weeks. Further treatments can be done for individuals seeking better results, although it is uncommon to require more than 2 treatments. For some an additional treatment may be required for maximum results. Those seeking treatment should be aware that race and genetics can also have an effect on the length of beneficial effects.  Appointments for a second treatment on the same area must be spaced 8 weeks apart.

What are the side effects and risks involved?

Pro Plasma Skin Tightening has been shown to be a safe treatment due to its noninvasive nature. Still the majority of people are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first week to 10 days following treatment.

There will be some tiny brown marks that appear as dots or minor scabbing. These are carbon crusts that typically flake away within the first 4-5 days, however some individuals could take 7-10 days for all the flaking to be complete. The skin revealed beneath is fresh new pink skin. Some swelling may be present but is likely to occur between 2-5 days after treatment. A full aftercare treatment along with aftercare cream will be provided by the technician and MUST be followed to avoid hyperpigmentation or scarring.

Can anyone get plasma pro tightening?

As with a majority of cosmetic procedures, Pro Plasma Skin Tightening should not be used on women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Although some darker skin types are suitable for the soft surgery procedure, it is not advised for those with very dark skin due to the higher risk of hyperpigmentation (darker spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) following treatment.

PRP and Microneedling/PRP Facial Injections

Platelet Rich Plasma, referred to as PRP, comes from your own blood that is processed to concentrate your platelets. The PRP is then introduced into the facial tissue via a microneedling device, the SkinPen, where it can get deeper into the skin to activate growth factors to create new blood vessels and collagen to heal and rejuvenate the tissue.

The microneedle creates tiny openings in the skin, which allows the PRP to penetrate deeper into the dermal epidermal junction. Platelets are reservoirs for growth factors and they also attract your body’s natural stem cells. This action creates collagen and uses the growth factors in the PRP to promote new cell growth, new blood vessels, collagen production, elastin production, and to remove photo damage. Most people notice tighter skin and a lessening of visible wrinkles along with improved texture, tone and color.

Treatment can help with:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Acne scars
  • Large pore size
  • Stretch marks
  • Dull skin
  • Sagging skin
  • Can enhance and prolong the effects of the other aesthetic services

What areas can be treated:

  • Scalp
  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Hands
  • Stretch marks

As with all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of this treatment are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further aging from occurring. The positive results should last you years depending on the area being treated, individual lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, prolonged sun exposure and how each individual cares for their skin after the treatment.

Most people see results after 4 weeks and this continues to improve over the course of the following 8-12 weeks. Best results are seen with 3-4 treatments.

What are the side effects and risks involved?
